PERSONAL PROJECT
AFTER THE FIRE

In 2019 a fire consumed the national museum at Rio de Janeiro. Inside, pieces that registered parts of Brazilian history were burned, including the collection called KumbuKumbu, which contained the contribution of Africa to our historical process. This project reimagines pieces of that exhibition and honors our past and grieves this loss.
