" Maximalism shouts, Quiet Luxury whispers"

Two sides of a coin: Maximalism and Quiet Luxury✨

Reading more about this trends, I noticed they were portrayed as opposites. Maximalism as a rebelious Reaction to the “clean” aesthetics of the Quiet luxury. And it makes sense since it isn’t new in art history where a movement is a reaction to others, as examples: Baroque, Rococó and Neoclassical. The same goes for fashion.

Maximalism shouts, it is extravagant, and has a saturated palette, it’s like Elsa Schiaparelli. In other hand, Quiet luxury whispers, is introspective, and has a neutral palette, it’s like Coco Chanel. But both are respectively sounds, behavior, color palette, and both are fashion designers who leave their mark on history.

This is why I created this project, one side made in traditional media (gouache) and another one made in digital media, not just an opposition but a talk of different facets of a coin called style
